Summer Spotlight/Reread: Zodiac by Romina Russell + GIVEAWAY!

Praise for Zodiac by Romina Russell:

“With a stellar cast, fascinating mythology, and unexpected twists and turns, ZODIAC is a must read. I am a fan!” —Morgan Rhodes, New York Times bestselling author of the Falling Kingdoms series

“A sci-fi refreshing for both its nondystopian plot and fallible heroine.” —Kirkus

“Russell’s debut novel is rich with details of a society that is equal parts hard science and free-flowing faith, making it a great read for fans of both epic fantasy and sf. Fans of the immersive world of Zodiac will be happy to know that this is just the first in a series.” —Booklist

Summary: At the dawn of time, there were 13 Houses in the Zodiac Galaxy. Now only 12 remain….

Rhoma Grace is a 16-year-old student from House Cancer with an unusual way of reading the stars. While her classmates use measurements to make accurate astrological predictions, Rho can’t solve for ‘x’ to save her life—so instead, she looks up at the night sky and makes up stories.

When a violent blast strikes the moons of Cancer, sending its ocean planet off-kilter and killing thousands of citizens—including its beloved Guardian—Rho is more surprised than anyone when she is named the House’s new leader. But, a true Cancrian who loves her home fiercely and will protect her people no matter what, Rho accepts.

Then, when more Houses fall victim to freak weather catastrophes, Rho starts seeing a pattern in the stars. She suspects Ophiuchus—the exiled 13th Guardian of Zodiac legend—has returned to exact his revenge across the Galaxy. Now Rho—along with Hysan Dax, a young envoy from House Libra, and Mathias, her guide and a member of her Royal Guard—must travel through the Zodiac to warn the other Guardians.

But who will believe anything this young novice says? Whom can Rho trust in a universe defined by differences? And how can she convince twelve worlds to unite as one Zodiac?

  1. I haven’t read these books yet, but I’m just realizing that I love science fiction and fantasy so these are on my TBR. I love the gorgeous covers!

    1. That’s exciting to hear, I absolutely adore discovering new books via blog tours. I find a lot of new titles on “bookstagram” too, check it out sometime and give me a follow if you aren’t already? I’d love to follow you back if you post bookish content :) Hopefully you love this series when you do get around to reading it. The covers alone are seriously beautiful, I call them “shelf candy” hehe.

  2. I’ve seen the books around, but haven’t read them. Before this tour, I never really realized they were space themed/related. So now I’m much more excited about them (I’ve really liked some of the books set in space this last year or so). Thanks for hosting!

    1. That’s great to hear! I have to find a really good sci-fi book to be completely interested because I am much more into fantasy/YA, but this book was fantastic! I am hoping to read the rest of them by the end of this year. You’re welcome, and if you entered the contest to win a copy I wish you the best of luck! :D <3

      1. Yeah, I didn’t get any future stops, so I hope to continue the series…but without the pressure behind the deadline, I end up moving to the next book that needs to be read! Well, I still have time on Wandering Star…🤔
